Hi all,
I have a question regarding the official GMAT writing pad. I bought one from
MGMAT. Does anyone know to what degree this pad is similar to the official pad? Dos GMAC publish any specifications regarding what the official pad should look like?
The reason why I am asking is that I got a pad on my exam that was significantly smaller than the one I own from
MGMAT, and white. Also the rectangles in the grid were at least twice as large and, the lines of the grid were solid, not slightly faded as in the one from
MGMAT. Consequently, the pad filled up much quicker than usual because I had to write a lot larger than usual and the pages were smaller. It was also harder to write on, due to the solid coloring of the lines. I wasted a lot of time changing pads, and I think that this negatively influenced my performance (the test center attendant was also really slow in bringing new pads as well). On a side note, the pads had a huge ETS logo on them, so I suppose they are not the original ones.
I want to send a complaint about this to the GMAT testing center. Therefore, I wonder if anyone here could inform me whether GMAC dictates any specifications for the pads, or if it is up to the test center?
Thanks!
