So, I've taken this whole waiting thing better than most people around here (I think). I have not lost sleep, I don't jump every time outlook rings, I only check my application status once or twice a week. But today I have officially gone into anxious wreck mode. I certainly don't *expect* a Wharton admit, but I do (did) expect an interview. If they don't come through for me in the next eight hours, I'll start feeling less confident about all my other applications and as a result all my other outstanding decisions are going to start weighing on me a lot more.

You've described exactly how I feel. I knew that it would be a long shot for me and I wasn't expecting much so I can't say I disappointed, but I really thought I did enough to earn an interview. Just like you, the lack of an invite has made me start to question my chances elsewhere.

Guys, don't despair. I've had 100% dings without interviews in R1 apps and 100% interviews in R2 apps. Just accept that there's some variability to the process which we can't fully understand, but in the end, you'll get to somewhere you like if you have done a reasonable app. season (eg: reasonable portfolio selection and reasonable number of apps.). Don't try to guess anything from only 1 school.
Any message coming from less than 3 or 4 schools is statistically insignificant.
And if not, you can join me next year for apps after we all "FUBAR this application season".
