There is some overlap between OG10 & OG11. OG11 in terms of numbers is also smaller than OG10. I guess they split questions between the OG and the individual workbooks. Anyways, either one is a good buy - its all good practice material.

if I already have the 10th ed, is there a point to purchase the 11th one then? What abotu the other books such as the verbal and quant from the mba.com website. Are they overlapp questions too from the OG guides?

Puilunchristin,
I really don't think you need to purchase OG 11th.
I bought the OG11th last month. And my other friend lended his OG 10th to me a week ago. I discovered that almost 25% of the questions are the same. It's not worth to buy another OG (remember OG11th contains fewer questions...)
The only good thing I found is the new diagnostic test on OG 11th.

I expect a fair amount of duplications, but I think the 11th Edition focuses on giving a more detailed solution than the 10th Edition. At least, that's what is being claimed. I don't have the 1tth Ed, but members who have might make a comparison between the solution given in the 10th Ed and the one given in the 11th Ed and comment which one is more exhaustive.

ywilfred,
I like the SC explanation of OG 11th more that of OG 10th.
But if you compare the explanation of CR section, I'll think the OG11th edition does a better job in that particular section.

If my memory seves me right, two or three questions from OG11th are included in the 1000SC document.

I did not get very far in the OG 11 yet, but it's full of typos.

If anyone here is mastered in discrete probabilities, and can explain to me the last sentence on the discrete probabilities section on page 120, please post here or PM.

Guys,

where there reviews and strategies vis a vis SC, CR and RC? I mean is this book similar to the Kaplan and Princeton review? Reviews intially and then drills.

What about the quant difficulty in the 11th? Is it considerably harder than the one in the 10th?

There are no overlap in questions from the OG 11th edition and the OG Verbal Review.

So if you have plans, you should go ahead and buy it... It will be a good practice. It helped me a lot.

I just gave my GMAT's..I have the books, if anyone is interested to buy them, email me.

Well i have studied on the 10TH edition and i have also brought the 11 th
For quantitative there are a lot of exercises exactly the same in the 11 TH as in the 1OTH
however Og 11TH has new exercises and some of those from the 1oth ones have been removed

the explanation are clearer in this new version , the concepts tested are clearly indicated Test writers also recommend the approach to solve exercises

I think it is a more organized and better taught version

hope it could help :)

RC repeats is close to 40%(again this is a wild guess)

I'd say it is more like <20% repeats, and some of the repeats are actually rephrased differently.
