Hey dude
First of all,you guys do an excellent job on the site.Congrats!!
Well,Im fairly good at Math, but I dont happen to ace the OG.Does that mean that Im not 700+ material?Im getting anxious after reading your post. Please advice me on how I could possibly improve?

Thanks,

Dan

Official Guide 13 contains only 5 Hard Questions

Conclusion: If you are planning/hoping/wanting to score 700+ on the GMAT, you need to be able to ace the OG. If you are having difficulties covering questions in under 2 minutes, you are at 650 level. Also, if you are aiming for 700+ level, you should expect questions that will be harder, tougher, and trickier.

Does it mean OG 13 is bad? Not really... it is just not as helpful for the top 10% and definitely not representative of the test question experience to be encountered.

What do you mean ace? You mean you struggle with OG quant? However the OG has only a handful of hard questions. I would say 50 or so of 700 or higher level questions. If you can't get the OG answered and get 90% it is not an automatic out but that should worry you and seek a different indicator or feedback using a test.

The best measuring tool is a practice test.

Thanks for that quick response.I'd say,in each topic I have a 60% efficiency rate.I refer to the last page of the Manhattan guide once I finish a particular topic. So,yes,as I said earlier if there are 12-13 problems in a topic I get 3-5 wrong.Does it mean that I wont get a 47-49 on Quant?

Impossible to tell... it all depends. it seems a bit high but I would try a GMAT Prep or a MGMAT Cat and see where you end up.
Can't tell otherwise.

Can you please define "acing"? That is, if I am aiming for a 720, then what is the % of questions that I should be getting right on the OG? 80%? 90%? 95%?

Currently I'm in the beginning phases of cnoquering the OG mateiral, where I'm getting 80-90% of questions right (roughly speaking). Your post makes it seem like, if I'm going to break 720, then I have to be 90-100% on OG
