Hello all,

I have completed MGMAT study guides, now working on OG-2018. Please guide whether to cover OG from the year 2015,2016 and 2017, or only 2018 and 2019 would do. I plan to take the exam in the month of October-2018.

Thanks in advance!
I suggest you look at it this way: If you feel that you have enough practice material already, or your scores on your GMATPreps are around or above your target score, there is no real need to solve more questions. But if you want or need more practice questions, then you should prioritize official questions over non-official questions. At least some of these extra official questions will come from earlier editions of the OG.

Hi ManviGupta,

I’m glad you reached out, and I’m happy to help.

While it appears that you have done some decent prep up to this point, since you are still looking to improve your GMAT score, it sounds as though something is lacking in your preparation strategy. Certainly you could consider practicing OG questions; however, you may consider using a resource such as a self-study course, which will provide a bit more structure and detail.

Self-study courses typically provide detailed study plans and have granular analytics, so you can easily track your progress as you move through the course. The ability to track your progress will keep you more engaged, and you’ll be able to more accurately forecast when you’re ready to take your real GMAT.

I see that some questions have been asked regarding your situation with the GMAT. Once you provide us with some more information, I can provide further advice about your study plan.

Good luck!

Most of the questions are repeated between the different OG editions. If you're using the OG 2018, there's no reason to get the earlier ones.

Instead, if you need more official practice questions, you can buy the 'GMAT Official Practice Questions' product from mba.com, here: https://www.mba.com/us/store/store-cata ... tions.aspx These should have minimal overlap with the OG.
