Yes, I too think the level of difficulty will be more as you proceed.

It specifically says on the front cover of the Official Guide that the questions are in order of difficulty.

i have just finished the quant part of the OG and its very clear that the last 10 questions are much harder ... but still not as hard as my power prep test :(... People who took the test, do you find that the real gmat was much harder than the OG 11 ?

I took the test three days ago and I definitely felt that actual exam was more difficult than the questions in the official guide. There seemed to be a lot of word (this seems to be consistent with what I have also heard from other people that have recently taken the test). I confronted one intermediate probability question and one very basic combination problem. Make sure you understand the basic concepts for comb/perm/prob, but don't over do it.

That being said, it is hard to say whether the questions are that much more difficult than the OG. Under real test conditions the questions might appear more difficult than they really are. Also, its easy to look back at questions that you worked through and say that they were easy. What I mean by that, is if you never looked at OG questions and confronted them in actual testing conditions they will probably be more difficult than if you worked through them in the comfort of your home without the test pressure. Afterall, all the questions that you see in the OG were formally actual test questions.

The one piece of advice that I can give you (for quant.), is to thoroughly understand the underlying concept in each and every problem. Reviewing a mistake thoroughly is much more important than answering ten questions right. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply ! I have been employing the error log strategy as suggested by the gurus on this forum… so far I have about 30 question in the log that I will review again a few days before the test. Still a bit nervous, my exam is in 2 weeks and Im just not sure about it. Although I do see HUGE improvement in quant over the past 5 weeks, maybe if I push the verbal hard for the next 14 days I can get my 700 .
