Can you please provide the sentence structures for the above problem. I want to know the breakdown of the clauses and what are subject verb pairs here ?
I chose B here because of parallelism. Can someone please explain, why is this not a parallelism problem, even though we are talking about 2 things that big bang theory holds ?

B. that the universe had begun in an explosive instant 10 to 20 billion years ago and had been expanding
