If you have just begun your preps and have time ahead before taking the GMAT, you can expect to improve your speed over the time through practice.
2 mins for the initial questions is on the higher side. I'm doing OG 11, and upto first 50 to 60 questions, a speed of maximum 1 minute should be there.
But everyone is slow when they start their prep, you need to practice a lot, timing yourself each time you practice.
Learning shortcuts and easier methods of calculations, and then thoroughly practicing them so that they come spontaneously to you when u look at a problem would go very far in increasing your speed. Get your basics strong, it counts a lot when u desire speed.
However, don't loose heart, if you stress yourself to solve questions faster, you will end up working slower. Let it come to you naturally through practice.
