The correct idiom is different from thus we can eliminate A and D.
C is too wordy so that's out.
Left with B and E,
E is more parallel than B 'his approach' is possessive and 'the approach of any other' is a possesive phrase.
Meanwhile in B,the phrase the approach used by , while correct, is not parallel with 'his approach'

Different from is clearly idiomatic.
Between B and E, E is a little ambigous, so I`ll go against the grain and choose (B).
"used by" clarifies which approach (to singing).
