Hi everyone - I've taken the Classic GMAT and received a score I am happy with. The score I received was far outside of my practice test range and candidly I do not think I would be able to replicate it, particularly on a completely new format like the Focus. However, I am not applying for programs now and was looking to book the score for a few years down the road when I anticipate I'll be ready to apply for schools. My question is, does anyone out there have any insight as to how schools will view scores from the Classic GMAT a few years down the road? Will I be at a disadvantage by not taking the Focus? Will schools even be accepting the Classic GMAT or reporting Classic GMAT statis in their profile a few years from now? Any help here would be super appreciated

Schools will be happy to accept classic GMAT scores a few years from now.
Some confirmation of that fact comes from the fact that schools even accept GRE scores even though the GRE isn't as good of a test of the skills used in business school or business as the classic GMAT or GMAT Focus Edition.
Also, schools won't set up an unnecessary roadblock for applicants by not accepting or preferring not to accept classic GMAT scores. They want you to apply, and they want to accept strong applicants. So, if you have a strong classic GMAT score, they are going to be happy to accept it.

Congrats on the score!!!
I think you will be just fine and your score will be just fine. Focus is the new kid in the block AdComs are still scratching their heads about.
Classic GMAT is very robust. I don’t think anyone will ask you to retake focus.
