I am sure this has been asked before but I cant find it in the thread.
I am thinking of taking the GMAT here this summer, and sitting on that score 3-4yrs. I want to do this because I will have all summer off before I start my job. Would I be competing at a disadvantage to a more recent score when I eventually apply?

This is anyone's guess and probably more individual to each school than we would expect
(or probably less individual if their focus on admission stats is even greater than people's expectations)
but let's say the probability of a positive answer is much greater now, because of the next-gen GMAT revamp
(i.e. yes, we would "be competing at a disadvantage to a more recent score when we eventually apply")
Yet one would expect a period of calibration, making the above inference shakier...
Again - it's just my wild guess...

The schools do have an issue sometimes with a 4-year old score. This is true esp of someone who has taken the GMAT right out of college and is now applying 4 years later - schools feel it is not reflective of the person (I would argue that why does it matter? Same person, just diff time).
Anyway, some schools do prefer to see a fresh score but I am not sure how big of a deal it is frankly...

), but does this 2yr time difference matter? I'm just asking as I will have the most time possible right now to study for this thing, because after this summer I will work fulltime and be studying for my CPA, and, quite frankly, want to put this score behind me.
