Let the number of Males be M
And Females be F
Sum of scores of males = X
Sum of scores of females = Y
X = 77.6M
Y = 87.5F
the number of male students was twice the number of female students
M = 2F
the average score for the entire class = 77.6(2F)+ 87.5F/3F
=> 242.7F/3F
=> 80.9
Answer is B

yashikaaggarwal, thanks for the great solution! It took me around three minutes as the problem involves multiplication and division. Is there anything that can be done for a faster calculation?
