On an average, two litres of milk and one litre of water are needed to be mixed to make 1 kg of sudha shrikhand of type A, and 3 litres of milk and 2 litres of water are needed to be mixed to make 1 kg of sudha shrikhand of type B. How many kilograms of each type of shrikhand was manufactured if it is known that 130 litres of milk and 80 litres of water were used?

(a) 20 of type A and 30 of type B (b) 30 of type A and 20 of type B

(c) 15 of type A and 30 of type B (d) 30 of type A and 15 of type B

Posted from my mobile device

Check with options/
Option A - 20 kg type A means 40 ltr milk and 20 ltr water
30 kg type B means 90 ltr milk and 60 ltr water

Total 130 ltr milk and 80 ltr water as given in question

Option A is the right answer

Is there any other way to do this other than the option

Form 2 eqn
2A + 3B = 130
A + 2B = 80

A = 20, B = 30
