On Sunday, Naina only had apples and oranges in a fruit basket. At breakfast. she ate (1/8)th of the apples. If she didn't buy any fruits on Sunday and if she didn't eat an apple or an orange in parts, did she have more than 20 fruits with her at the beginning of the day on Sunday?
(1) At the beginning of the day on Sunday, she had 2 more oranges than apples.
(2) On Sunday, she ate 60% as many apples in breakfast as she ate in lunch.

The language seems inconsistent here. Anyway will try.
A) If 60% as many means 0.6 times of what Naina had at lunch
Apple = 24
Orange = 40
Total = 64 YES
Look Sufficient.
B) If 60% as many means 1.6 times of what Naina had at lunch
B1) Apple = 8
Orange = 5
Total = 13 NO
B2) Apple = 16
Orange = 10
Total = 26 YES
Looks insufficient.
Case A of statement 2 makes more sense.
IMO Answer B.

Lets assume she had A apples and B oranges at the beginning of sunday.
She ate 1/8 th of apples on breakfas. means A is mulitple of 8.
Asked is A+B>20?
1st sentence makes no sense for solving.
2nd talks about amount she ate on lunch
lets assume she ate X on lunch.
Means 0.6X = A/8 as per second statement.
means X = 5A/24
This shows that A is multiple of 24
So A+B is greater than 20.
I think answer is B.
