Statement 1: The product of c and d are positive
If c and d are positive, it means they are greater than a and b. Here we can have b positive and a = 0, then a * b * c * d = 0, which is neither positive or negative
If c and d are negative, then a and b also have to be negative, then the product will be positive.
Therefore Statement 1 is insufficient. Answer options could be B, C or E.
Statement 2: a is positive
This means that b, c and d will all be positive as a is the smallest number and is positive. The product of the 4 numbers is positive.
