One hundred and twenty students are choosing band, art, or both as electives. How many of the students chose both?

(1) The number of students that took only band is three fifths of the number that took art and one fourth of the number that took both.
(2) Fifty students took only art and 45 students took only band.

I am getting D as a answer. Could you explain how E is OA.
Statement1:- if only band is x then art student is 5/3(x) and both is 4x and since we have total nos of student we can easily calculate. Hence sufficient.
Statement 2:- we know only art student is 50 and only band student is 45 and total is 120 so student taking both is 25 hence sufficient.
Until and unless there are any student not taking both option then tolution is D otherwise E.
Kindly explain..

Posted from my mobile device
Because you are not considering neither category.
Hope it helps
