Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice and tips on how to cram this last month of study. So far I've worked through all of the Manhattan GMAT books and for the last month I have just been pounding away at problems from the various OGs (10th, 12th, and 13th editions).

I've taken two cats so far. Both are from Mahattan GMAT.

1 - 640 (Q44, V33) (Taken about three weeks ago)
2 - 650 (Q44, V35) (Yesterday)

Obviously the area with the biggest room for improvement is verbal.

My target GMAT is 650-700 and I have about 3-4 hours a day available to dedicate to studying.

So basically, what do you recommend?

44 quant? Looks like you are at the perfect level to use GMAT Club tests. People tend to use this to go from mid 40s to high 40s or even 50. Please note that MGMAT quant is harder than the actual GMAT

If necessary try a course like Knewton, shaselai had a great verbal improvement after using knewton. PM him for more details if you would like.

Work on Sentence correction. The key is to be able to do a SC question in about 1 minute so you can spend more time on the more reading intensive questions. Also, take more tests. You should take at least another 8- 4 Manhattan and 4 GMATPrep (take each test twice). You should read everyday for at least 30 minutes (either RC practice problems or online newspapers). Finally the last 3 or 4 days before the test do A LOT of review. Good luck!

konnichiwa! with your breakdown you need to go into finer details to really get to your goal. Go back to questions you got wrong on or you have spent a lot of time on and see how you couldve done better. Error logs is key here since you will be able to know what specific areas to focus on instead of "everything".

Okay so what do you guys think about this kind of daily plan....I'm taking the test October 16th in Osaka. 5 weeks from now. Uh so nervous.

Weeks 1 and 2

Quant - Pretty good scores so just want to do enough to maintain skills. 20PS / 20DS (Randomly selected from OGs)
Verbal - RC is very good and rarely miss questions. So I'm thinking. 40SC / 40CR / 3 passages RC
Review - Review everything missed for the day

Weeks 3 and 4

GMAT Club tests plus whatever CATs I can get my hands on. Everything timed to work on timing and stamina.

Final Week

Review everything

Final two days

Take them off and relax

Take test

Win?

I'd maybe do more SC and a few less CR- maybe 60 SC and 30 CR (since SC takes only a minute to a minute 15 seconds a question you can do more of them). Also, spending two weeks on just the tests on this website might be too much time. You may want to through in a some time for solving problems outside of this website (maybe the Quant and Verbal OGs)

One month before GMAT, you should concentrate only on OGs and give more time on the analysis of incorrect questions you made during your preparation. Use error log.

Also consider the older OG's for additional FRESH questions.
