roundtwo
Hey guys,
K, I just got through SC and finally feel that I have a better idea of how sentences should be structured. Now on to practicing DS. Any recommendations on books or questions that would help with this area. My biggest problem is (1) trying out different numbers (I always find doing this time consuming) and (2) staring at these questions like a deer caught in a head light (also wastes time). Any suggestions?
Thanks guys
Your question is two fold round two:
1. DS problems require good problem solving skills. It is a word problem that needs to be translated into an equation.
2. Reducing the problem and either eliminating answers you are positive are not viable or answering the question.
1) takes practice and bring comfortable with DS problems. You can't do 2) until you have some proficiency in 1).
We have a strategy posted on DS problems (see the strategy link in my sig). Take note: This strategy assumes you can break the DS problem down to the simplest form and then work to eliminate incorrect answers. I have an example posted in the strategy link to provide a bit of additional explanation.
