Let total work to be done = W
Work done by snowplow1 in 1hr = W/6
Work done by snowplow2 in 1hr = W/8
Work done by both snowplow together in 1hr = W/6 + W/8 = 7W/24
Time taken by both snowplow to complete W work = W/(7W/24) = 24/7 = 3+(3/7) = 3.43
Hence, option A, 3.43 hours.
