Hey,

Can you explain how your assuming the number of adults as 6?

I used these two statements

....One-third of all adults sleep with a teddy bear.... ⇒ \(\frac{1}{3}\)

....in order for 50% of all.... ⇒ \(50\)% \(= \frac{1}{2}\)

LCM (2,3) = 6

Let the total adults be 90 (just becoz its divisible by 3, easy calculation)
1/3rd = 30 --> take teddy bears, and 60 who don’t.
We want 50% --> 45 total
We need 15 more from 60 adults that do not take teddy bears
So 15/60 = 1/4
Hence, C

I mean,
there is no constraint mentioned that you should not assume the number of adults...
You can assume anything, but assuming 6 here just makes your calculations become easier as 6 is divisible by 3.
