I also agree that your profile has some compelling features, but there are several hurdles you need to clear.

You do need to work on your post-(2nd) MBA goal. To go into consulting when you have consulting experience seems really insufficient. The argument immediately posed against your case is why not just stay where you are (in advisory) or lateral in somewhere?

Also, while the previous poster suggested using the optional essay to explain the need for a second MBA (not a bad idea!) how will you also then explain your two-year gap? That feels pretty critical. It's by no means impossible, but something you should note.

We're also available for a free consultation if you need admissions assistance or would like to discuss any of the above in more detail.

Thankyou you guys for reaching out. Apologies for not clearly writing.

1. Post-MBA goal is Management Consulting in the USA. Right now, I am not a front-end consultant who breaks the deal, the impact I create on businesses is far less than what I want.( Part of an offshore model but work with US based Managers and Directors of Big4)
Second, what I want to bring out in the essay is since I come from a financially challenged background (in my initial years). During my first MBA, I was not in a situation to choose, merit cum means scholarship was the sole factor to pursue MBA (along with the University's prestige in India), which helped me to become financially viable and enabled me to bring food to the table for y dependent parents and myself.

Now that I have means, I want to climb the ladder in consulting and want to make a tangible international impact where Cornell will immensely help me, plus one year MBA seems like a blessing that will bring back to my workforce sooner.

2. In the gap year I was not freely sitting, I left New Delhi to move to a sleepy town in Uttar Pradesh state. I was a Teacher/Tutor giving tuitions for that period and meanwhile prepared for CAT(Indian version of GMAT), took the exam, aced it will around 90 percentile, and received a scholarship for my MBA.

Looking forward to your response on this.

Thank you for all of your guidance.
I will reach out to you individually by filling the forms.
