Hi guys
I am an international student and I was admitted to Goizueta 1 year MBA(STEM), MS at UCSD extended study(1 year), and Questrom online MBA(2 years)
Now I appreciate any advice which program to choose from in aiming to work in the healthcare sector such as med devices, biotech, and pharma in the US.
1 Goizueta -tuition $113,982 -post-MBA average base salary $148,250
2 MS at UCSD + Questrom online MBA - tuition $33,000+$24,000=$$57,000 -post-MS and online MBA base salary unknown
One of my concerns is how negatively the current economy will impact when internationals looking for a job in the US.
Any advicve is appreciated!
Choosing the right program can be a difficult decision, especially when you have multiple offers from prestigious universities. However, based on your interests in the healthcare sector, my recommendation would be to consider the Goizueta 1-year MBA program.
Goizueta Business School has a strong reputation for its MBA program, and the 1-year STEM-designated MBA program provides an intensive and focused education that is tailored to your career goals. The program's proximity to Atlanta, which is home to many healthcare companies, also offers valuable networking opportunities and potential job connections. Additionally, the high post-MBA average base salary indicates that graduates from this program are highly sought after in the job market, which could increase your chances of securing a job in the healthcare sector after graduation.
While the MS at UCSD extended study and Questrom online MBA may seem like more affordable options, they may not offer the same level of career-specific training and networking opportunities that the Goizueta MBA program does. Also, keep in mind that the online MBA format may not provide the same level of hands-on experience and networking opportunities that an in-person program can offer.
Regarding your concern about the current economy's impact on job prospects for international students, it's true that the job market can be competitive, especially in certain industries. However, healthcare is a growing and essential sector, which may offer more stability and job opportunities than other industries. Also, keep in mind that Goizueta Business School has a robust career center that can help you with job search strategies and provide networking opportunities that can increase your chances of securing a job.
Overall, while the Goizueta MBA program may come with a higher tuition cost, the potential benefits in terms of career-specific training, networking opportunities, and job prospects in the healthcare sector make it a strong contender among the options you have.
