Hi BRanonymous,

With a 700/Q43, you already have a fantastic score (it's right around the 90th percentile overall), so the fact that you were wait-listed does NOT necessarily mean that your GMAT score is the 'problem.'

I do agree that the Q43 is not going to impress anyone though, so retaking with the goal to raise THAT Scaled Score (while maintaining your other scores) is understandable. The Q43 means that you're really strong at the straight-forward "math" questions that you face, but you're missing out on strategy points and probably a bunch of DS points. You might also have a pacing problem, but I don't know you well enough to say that for sure. As such, your focus during this last month+ of study should be on tactics, pattern-matching, etc.

Considering your time frame and your goal, I think that the EMPOWERgmat Quant Score Booster would help you a great deal. Most of our clients can finish that Study Plan in under a month, so you could easily fit it into your timeframe. It also has the added benefit of the Score Guarantee. Everything that you need to know can be found at www.empowergmat.com

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi BRanonymous,

You are in great shape to hit your target score with a base of 700 already. I'd also suggest taking advantage of the free trials offered by most online resources. While you don't have that far to go, it's even more important to shop around a bit and determine which one works best for you.

That being said, here's a link to sign up for a free trial of Economist GMAT Tutor, which adjusts to your needs based on your strengths and weaknesses: https://bit.ly/1BMoyvJ

Best,
Rich
