Any recommendations for an online question bank? When I studied for parts of the CPA exam which was also a CAT exam, using an online question bank was helpful.

Yes- Only online questions can give you precise time-error-accuracy analysis. Also IMO you should be in practice to read exhaustive content on a computer screen

Apart from the well-regarded questions banks of GMAC, Veritas and Manhattan Prep also provide access to online question banks.

Also, don't forget that GMATClub provides ample question banks with timers. You will get broad exposure to different topics. The official questions are especially valuable.

Hi superphily,

Most self-study courses have a database of questions you can access. To see what is available, check out some of the success stories of past GMAT students as well as reviews of various GMAT prep courses to see what prep materials have worked for other test-takers.

Hi superphily,

While a quiz bank can certainly help you to get in some practice reps, if you're notably far from your Goal Score, then that type of study is usually NOT a 'fix' - instead, you have to adapt how you 'see' (and respond to) the Exam, by learning and practicing the proper Tactics. Depending on how quickly and easily you can hone those skills, a large quiz bank of practice questions might not be required.

Before I can offer you any advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week? Just started. Honestly something like 15-30 min a day here and there
2) What study materials have you used so far? gmat club question of the day, I bought the 2018 official guide book
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)? Did not take any CATs yet

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score? 720
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT? 3 months from now ideally, 4 months may be needed since I just started and I work full time too
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School? ideally 3 months from now
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to? Right now just UF

I feel GMATCLUB is in itself a huge (extremely comprehensive) database. But since there are questions from all sources you may like to first start and explore the official questions:-

All the best!

Hi superphily,

Since you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back (or you can PM me directly) and we can come up with a study plan.
