Rashmi dont you think 100 are late and seated immediately represent 5% ? and 30% is a subset of the same ?

Actually the question wording is quite confusing

I didn't exactly get what you are trying to say.

"late AND seated" means both A and B.

Say 2 sets, A(late), B(seated)
5% is the intersection of A and B.
30% is A NOT B.

Hope it is clear now.

Yup B, 30% are not seated , 5% are = 70% of late patrons are seated.
Considering the 2, 5 + slightly less than half of 5 = around 7 matches option B.
