Hi Hjort,

Thank you for your response. It did make me feel better to hear your positive answer.

So far I havent made much of an explanation except telling about the decision i made to not study some subjects as they didnt transfer, and attributing that to immaturity.

I am wondering for the next 3 apps that I have yet to submit whether I should go with another angle, namely that I was sick during or befor the exams etc... I was sick during the exams so it wouldnt be a falsehood, however, that i dont think was the reason i did poorly....
Anyway I am wondering if the strength of the reasons for poor performance is weak..... Can you give me your opinion on this?

Re: going with another angle- I guess this is a matter of personal philosophy. I think it is better to avoid a lengthy explanation of your poor grades so many years ago. You have no real need to present any excuses since you are clearly academically qualified for the top cluster schools.
