Opportunist

I am looking for a word that means "someone who is quick and effective at grabbing any opportunity that comes his/her way". The word "opportunist" comes to mind, but that word is usually used in a negative sense. Is there a synonym to that word that is used more positively?

Yeah .. the word "entrepreneur" does include this meaning too. the problem with the word "entrepreneur" is that it means so much more.

if you can, ditch the adjective and use a verb: I pride myself on taking advantage of opportunities that come my way. I don't know what your context is, but re-structuring a sentence is often the best way of managing when le mot juste refuses to come out.
