Did you try online white board practice.
you should be really fluent in basic calculation for Quant to finish exam in time.
650 is a achievable score but I personally feel you should practice first. You still have time in hand , use it judiciously to evaluate yourself

Not yet, I'll next week after my CAT test (which I'll do on paper); is it completely different than a real whiteboard?

Yes, I also think 650 is achievable but it takes time and regular practice!

Hi Rigtee,

From everything that you have described, I think that you have the right mentality about the current circumstances of the GMAT. That having been said, a 650+ Score is just a bit below the 80th percentile - so clearly most GMATers never score that high on the Official Exam (regardless of how long they study). By extension, if you limit your studies to a shorter timeframe (or are inconsistent with how you study), then your Score Goal will become a more challenging task.

We'll be better able to put together a proper Study Plan for you once you have that initial CAT Score. On Test Day - at a Testing Facility - you'll be working with a few sheets of laminated paper and a marker. Obviously, there's a different 'feel' to using those materials compared to using a pen and paper. For this first practice CAT, you shouldn't worry too much about what materials you use to take notes, but to properly train for what you will face on the Official GMAT, you would likely find it beneficial to purchase a pad and marker that are similar to the ones that you will use at a Testing Facility.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Rich,

Thanks again for your answer, I didn't know the percentile was that high for 650! Anyway, that's my goal so I'll thrive on hard work and eventually do it! I still have to take that CAT test, I'll really try to do it by Wednesday (as I have lots of other projects to track at the same time).

Hi Rigtee,

Since it’s almost May and you still have other exams to worry about until the end of June, I think the better move would be to give yourself more time to study and take the GMAT at a later date. Also, I think a good first step would be to take a full-length practice exam to get a baseline score. Once you have that score you’ll have a better idea of the road ahead. If you’d like further advice after taking the practice exam, feel free to report back with your score breakdown.
