Hi guys!
I have two questions in which you may be able to help me.
Context: I have completed my GMAT today for the first time. Primarily I wish to have a sufficient GMAT score in order to be accepted by schools, which request at least a score of 600 from student to be eligible for application for the Master programs. However, due to unforeseen circumstances at the test center I have obtained only 590.
My first question is regarding the application to such schools, which explicitly request 600. Are students considered for the admission, if they do not hit the 600 limit, or they are immediately excluded from the process?
Secondly, I have a question regarding the unforeseen circumstances at the test center, which needs a bit further explanation. I was unfortunate enough that there was a drilling under us in the building of the test center, which occurred on the wall I was placed next to. It may not have been a continuous issue, however it certainly took away 10 minutes from each of the three main section (quant/verbal/IR&AWA) as it was recurring roughly each hours. The reason for the especially uncomfortable effect was that I was not able to understand the text of either type of questions even with the earplugs in, while I was trying to cover my ears with one of my hands. I lost valuable time and the remaining period of the test was stressful and lack of concentration. My question is whether an outside source of disturbance is relevant enough to provide me a case for refund?
Thank you for your responses, best of luck to all the people who are reading, while still in the preparation phase!
