Hi,
I am deciding between Ohio State Fisher MSF and Washington Olin MSF Wealth and Management Track.
I am an international student and wished to work in the US after graduation. I hope to work in fields that involve investment management, wealth and asset management, financial derivatives, I am ok with any location in the US and accept all kinds of roles including sales, analyst, trader, and so on.
Both of these programs have STEM and based on data provided on their website:
OSU:
2019 Base Salary of $61,650 78% Received Job
30% in Corporate Finance/ Investment Banking
26% in Financial Service/ Commercial Banking
Olin:
2019 Base Salary of $57,800 58% Received Job
29% Commercial Banking
14% Corporate Finance
These stats are surprising to me since Olin has a better ranking in Best Business School, MSF Program, and MBA in both US News and Financial Times.
From my point of view, Olin has a better reputation but the employment figures show a different story.
I have read through their course structures and is indifferent between those two.
Olin has a 1.5-year program compared to OSU 1 year so that Olin has an extra 0.5 year for internship and OSU has none. I am not sure how this extra 0.5 year will affect me finding a job.
Which school should I attend to?
