Hey, how did u get 4 days? for 2nd question ?
MoPouyan
Average Vaccinations Per Day:
Total vaccinations = 60 (given).
Days = 15.
Average = [Total Vaccinations][/Days]
= [60][/15]=4

2. Days with 7 or More Vaccinations:

Days with 7 or more vaccinations: Day 5, Day 6, Day 11, Day 15 (4 days total).

Hi Kinshook, can you help me understand question 2 in a bit more detail pls ? TIA!
Kinshook

Over a 15 day period (Days 1-15), each of the 60 employees of a firm received a certain vaccination. The graph shows the total number of employees that had received the vaccination by the end of each of these days.

Based on the information provided, select from each drop-down menu the option that creates the most accurate statement.

For this 15-day period, the average (arithmetic mean) number of employees receiving the vaccination per day was 60/15 = 4

On exactly 4 (Day 5, Day 5, Day 11, Day 15) days of this period, 7 or more employees received this vaccination.

ShilpiAgnihotrii I will tell you my approach since i got it right.

If you will notice the line chart, its nothing but cumulative sum of # of employees getting vaccinated. The question asks how many days did 7 or more employees got vaccinated? If you will see on Day 4, 10 people got vaccinated and then on Day 5 18. So 18-10 = 8 which is more than 7.

Similarly we can see other days are Day 6, 11 and 15. So answer is 4.

I was more intrigued by what difficulty would one assign to this question. If anyone could help me answer that it would be great! Thanks in advance.

(After analyzing my score I would say GMAT classifies it as a relatively easier question. Maybe 555-605, but all views are greatly appreciated!)

The graph shows cumulative data. It follows an upward path because each day shows the sum of employees who have taken the vaccination till that day. The difference between two consecutive data points will give us the number of people who got vaccinate in that single day.

For this 15-day period, the average (arithmetic mean) number of employees receiving the vaccination per day was _____

Average = Number of employees / Number of Days = 60/15 = 4

Select 4

On exactly ____ days of this period, 7 or more employees received this vaccination.

We need those days when 7 or more employees received this vaccination. Look for steep slope between two consecutive data points. When the line is flat or almost flat very few people got vaccinated.
We see that 8 people got vaccinated on 5th day (total number of vaccinated people goes up from 10 to 18) and 7 got vaccinated on 6th day, 11th day and 15th day.
