Gave my GMAT today. Got 680 (Q43/v40) but only a two on IR.
How much do the IR Scores really matter? I am not able to appteciate my score in anyway due to the low 2! I guess a retake is warranted.
Here are my specifics: Indian, Female. I have close to 11 years experience some in IT CONSULTING and some as PRoject Manager.
Academics : BE from Mumbai University, (Honors) and rank holder.
Not too much extra curriculars.
Any past experiences or suggestions?

Hi Mira,
Just for the reason IR score is low, you need not retake the GMAT. However if you are looking to make your GMAT score better, you can retake. GMAT plays an very important role while applying to the top B-Schools. With your current score, you still have a good chance for the top B-Schools, provided you chose the right B-Schools and submit extra ordinary essays. This might help: https://goo.gl/TqFWKY

I'd recommend that you do a little research into how your specific schools are dealing with IR. Some schools care more than others!
While a 2 shouldn't trigger an automatic retake, some schools are starting to take IR scores more seriously at the high and low ends. (In other words, they don't do much with an average score, but they might be impressed or alarmed if your score is especially high or low.) If your school is one of those, a retake might be warranted.
