Both have excellent programs and strong reputations, so either one will open doors for you. MFINDreamer provided a decent comparison between the two. LSE also offers its students the benefit of learning in London.

If you want to work in London, then hell yes it's worth the money. Just don't forget to add in the living expenses.

If you want to work in the states, then a U.S. degree might be better, I think. But Americans certainly know about LSE.

thanks bimillan! I had another quick question: I turned down LSE's offer last year (I requested a deferral but wasnt granted one), I'm wondering, do universities care if youve already turned them down once, and will it effect their decision this year (i've reapplied, same program)?

Well, it won't help your situation. You're going to have to explain yourself and present a convincing case on why you didn't take up the offer. I'm familiar with LSE's admissions process (I applied to their MSc Finance program), but don't know for sure how your history will affect your chances this year.

LSE allows prospective students to choose two programs per application. Make sure you pick a second master's course as a backup plan.

ChicagoH,

The LSE MSc Finance programs accepts both the GRE and GMAT. Oxford's MFE program also accepts both. The LSE MSc Accounting and Finance, however, specifically asks for the GMAT.

Hope this helps!
