i was rejected by oxford yesterday for MFE. However the status on my application portal never changed from submitted to "under review" or anything else. I wonder if they received too many applications that they ended up giving out enough offers or they forgot about me or they simply dont update application status at all. If anyone knows any info on application status it would really help since I am wondering if i should appeal.

Sorry to hear that. How did they communicate your decision - via phone call or email? I do not see any MFE applicant here (except for one candidate) whose status is denied, so maybe a large number of applicants still have status on the application portal unchanged.
PS: that's just my speculation. I am not an admission insider so can't say anything with certainty.
