I am interested in pursuing a 1 year MBA and then plan on getting a JD in the US. I want the MBA so I can eventually work as a Chief Operating Officer for startups or have the freedom to go into Consulting (in case I end up not liking Big Law). I am keen on getting a JD because I am passionate about politics/lobbying.

Would Cambridge Judge or Oxford Said have a better name amongst academic/legal circles in the US? Which school places better at McKinsey and Bain?
Which school is better for consulting overall?

McK and bain to a lesser extent both recruit at both schools. Oxford probably is a bit better here but give both a shot and see where you land. Both are global brands so if law firms are impressed by that sort of thing then these should do the trick. LBS and INSEAD will provide better placement in consulting FWIW

Judge and Said are newer schools and don't have as much a reputation as their mother universities. Where you get your JD from will end up being more important

General information about Oxford vs Cambridge:
In my experience, Oxford is better for social sciences and humanities. So law/politics- I would prefer Oxford.
Cambridge is better with biology, chemistry etc.
