I am considering giving the GMAT uin a few months. By profession I am a mechanical engineer who wishes to take the GMAT to move into the management side of the business or maybe move into finance completely.
the dilemma i have is i get this impression that if you want to consider a career change go FT.
I was thinking of going to school PT. This is mainly because my employer would partially pay for the tuition. Getting out of a FT job and support myself for 2 yrs is not viable. I also cannot consider taking loans etc, because I am on a work visa , so that limits my ability to undertake any major loans.
Please shed some light, incase i decide to change careers after doing a PT MBA> Do future employers consider this a taboo?
