I wanted to schedule a Skype interview before the EA deadline. The slots are full. Did anyone face a similar situation?

I mailed the alum but he is yet to reply. If does not reply, I might have to book a Skype interview.

I just checked it and found the same. I would prefer sending an email to the Adcom and find out the solution from them.

If this doesn't work out, I would prefer to have Alum interview in Mumbai. :)

Same here. I don't know what to do now. Moreover, Skype interview slots are also not available.

Yes but as per the mail, if the alum does not reply we have to look for alternatives and all the slots are full.. :? It seems we have the alum interview as the only option left.

Thanks for a prompt response.

I mailed the Adcom and I hope to get it done atleast before the deadline. It won't be possible for me to travel to Mumbai, so I don't have an option.

Well, I would love that idea provided expanses are handled by someone else. :lol: :lol:

Sit back n relax mate. We have done our job. :) If the school has provided the name of the Alum, it means the Alum volunteered for it. So let's not fret over it. :)

I hope UNC has informed him to check his email atleast once.! I am really worried now.! Did you try contacting him through linkedin?

Lol, i know. I am just worried because I sent a confirmation to Kelley to have the interview on 9th Nov in Mumbai. So, I am going to travel now and if this doesn't work out, I have to spend money for nothing. :-D

I'd rather wait for 5-6 days before approaching him on Linkedin. Impatience might have a negative effect mate. Let's wait patiently. The MBA learning has already started, don't you think?

Remember, Curiosity killed the Cat! :lol: BTW does anyone has any idea what Alum interviews are like? Any insights? Last year interview experiences? Anything? Maybe it was the same Alum last year as well. We might as well do our research, while waiting frantically for the Alum to reply. :)

hey guys, I was looking at the past threads and found the following :

"As per the posts in this thread, unfortunately most people haven't been able to schedule interviews with alums. They are mostly busy and non responsiveness at their end can be understood.
So I would suggest you to go ahead with a skype interview with an adcom member before it's too late (they have a schedule for a last interview date, so in order to avoid last moment panic, just book a date and time that suits you before it's gone )"

Whoa! That's weird. How come the Alum miss so many e-mails from the interview candidates? I understand they ought to be busy in their schedule, but missing it all together can only mean that it's intentional.

I'd still wait for the 5-7 days mentioned in the e-mail before booking alternative interview arrangement. N if Skype interview is not available then, then I'll get in touch with the Adcoms. Coz if multiple people are facing the same issue with the Alum, I am pretty sure the Adcoms will make alternative arrangements.
