I came here to post literally this same question - glad I'm not the only one. Anybody know the reason behind the fee waiver? I'm hoping that I didn't accidentally make one of the selections in the drop-downs that would warrant it (i.e. active duty U.S. military or veteran; active participant in Peace Corps or AmeriCorps; Teach for America; Beta Gamma Sigma.)

Maybe it was because of our GMAT? I also had a 730, so maybe the score pre-qualified for a fee waiver. I know many other people have been receiving waivers via e-mail who have 700+

I also received an interview invite today (submitted on 12/3). Quick turnaround time, indeed!

The school provides fee waivers based on the GMAT scores, so if your score falls in the range, you will be eligible for the waiver.

Oh, I didn't get any notification! Maybe they are sending a waiver to only a subset of the 700+ (or whatever the range is).

Submitted my application on 12/3 and recommendation on 12/5 but still no email.....GMAT is 710

Nice turnaround time from UNC. Scheduled an Skype appointment and thankfully lots of green, but I'd imagine they fill up quickly. Given other forum members of having trouble contacting an alum, seems like the best option if you can't make it to campus. Not to mention you'll have adcom interview you, which is way better then a non-professional.
