Welcome to all prospective Darden full-time MBA applicants to the Class of 2020 discussion. Use this platform to know each other, build the network, exchange ideas/information, discuss application strategies, share interview /school visit experiences, and boost one another's morale to face the tough admission process.
Below is the essay question for the Darden MBA 2017-18 application cycle:
"When preparing for class at Darden, students formulate an opinion on each case before meeting with their learning teams and class sections. When encountering different views and perspectives from their own, opinions frequently shift. Tell us about a time when your opinion evolved through discussions with others."
Last year Darden was not super kind to Indians. I emailed them for feedback and I was told to look out for the notification on their blog/website. Honestly, I did not feel too good about that and it seemed very informal. However, I have heard really good stuff about Darden's feedback process.

Just one question?!
How will they know why I chose Darden or what my future plans are?
Anyway, how does one begin to tackle an essay such as this?
Has anyone received an invitation to the Darden Fellowship competition? Or anyone have any insight on how many people get invited? Darden hasn't been on my target list, but I got an invitation today so I am trying to gauge how many people are invited....is it worth giving Darden a second look or is this invite something that is sent to a lot of people?
I started the process by thinking of the people I disagree with the most and having a conversation with them about times that we've disagreed or debated things. It helped a lot to jog my memory and choose a specific example to use for the essay!
