Didn't see a thread for MMM applicants yet! Who else applied round 1? What is everyone's background? Sent from my iPhone using GMAT Club Forum mobile app
Hey, My name is Achal and I am an applicant to the MMM program from Mumbai, India. Have been in the design thinking/innovation management space for the last 3 years of my career. Developed products and services for waste management and modules for mental health awareness. GMAT -720(Q50, V39) GPA -3.0 Anxiously waiting for an interview invite. Any clue on MMM specific stats with respect to acceptance rates?
The AdCom standard answer to that question is that is very comparable to the admissions stats for the 2 year MBA program. There are fewer spots, but fewer people apply, so acceptance percentages are similar. Have never heard them get more specific than that.
Wow great @Prospie1024! Curious - why not the regular two year degree? Your consulting background seems already great fit for that. Or are you willing to move on from consulting to try design centric industries?
I studied business undergrad and wanted to get a different skill set. And I do technology strategy consulting, with a focus on design so it's a good fit!

Hi achal.30991 wishing you the best for your Kellogg MMM application. I think the 720 GMAT from India makes you firmly in the pack for what kind of applicants they get-so that cold be tricky. Usually Kellogg will interview everyone although I have noticed that sometimes they don't always have the resources to cover all of India... but hopefully just follow up occasionally without being too forward- meaning not too often- but just to see about interview status. The other thing I suggest is that for design thinking you also look at Rotman which has some great resources and also look at Darden! I was impressed with what I saw Darden doing in Design thinking area- https://news.darden.virginia.edu/2017/0 ... ater-good/ and if you want to have any extra insight from us- reach out at this link for a free consult: https://stratusadmissionscounseling.com ... b-visitor/
I had my Skype interview two weeks ago. it went pretty well and was short only 30 minutes. Most of it was behavioral questions and i had one where they asked why and MBA and why the MMM program.
Is the duration for the MMM program longer than 2 years? The website lists the curriculum and extra courses but I'm not sure how they span out over the course of the program.

It is the two academic years plus an extra summer of courses at the beginning (program starts June 26 instead of August / September)
Hi all, I'm an Indian male and I'm planning to apply in Round 2 for the MMM program.
I have 1 year of experience working in a large consumer goods company, after which I joined the founding team of a tech startup (2.5 years now). I report to the CEO and have been handling online marketing and front-end product for the company, and we've since been funded by tier 1 VCs. I am looking to transition into a PM role through the MMM program. Can you please share some feedback on my profile and what my approach should be to tackle the MMM essay?
What was the small group dinner? Was this an invite-only event?

Yup! Looks like Kellogg is trying a new thing where they invite applicants to dinners/brunches/networking events before the formal admit. Jury is still out on if the event signifies anything, but we'll find out soon enough.
