D is right. Let me explain how. First, the bar code is singular so we can only use "has". This leaves us with B and D. Now, B uses "they" to identify bar code. But bar code is singular. So, it should either be it, or bar code. Thus, B is wrong. D is the answer.

D is best. in A and C, "have" is incorrect. in B and E, "they" and "it" is incorrect.
but in D, "opposition when the code was introduced" seem not good to me. "when"-clause, can modify a noun. but the noun must refer to a time. for example.
the time when you come is hard time.
"opposition" is not a time noun, so, when-clause can not modify this noun
opposition at a time when the codes was introduced
is better.
Am I correct?
