I agree with you but OA is D...maybe in D the principal clause is more clear....the fact that minivans carry 7 people can be a qualifier subclause but, at a deeper level of analysis, has nothing to do with the comparison with SUVs

looks nothing wrong with A. but use of AND several times doesnt make a good sentence.
