Hi
ja2894as, gosh, well, I understand the desire to take time to focus on exams, but in my experience, candidates who quit their jobs to take their tests and focus on applications find themselves in a much weaker position as an applicant. Schools don't love employment gaps in general; sometimes (Covid furloughs, layoffs) they can't be avoided; but intentional ones don't always go over very well. Is it possible to, if you must take time off, take a leave instead of quitting?
It's hard to assess your chances without knowing your plans/goals and which schools you're targeting, or even your GMAT score, but my advice is to try to focus on your job advancement first and your MBA plans after that, because you'll generally need that job progress and good recommendations to have success applying in the MBA. Maybe put off your MBA plans until the work qualification is cleared up? That would be my advice anyway based on what I've seen.
Wishing you the best of luck on your exams!!
Warmly,
Julie-Anne
