Hi everyone,
I stumbled upon this amazing & interactive knowledge pool while googling for part-time MBA programs. It didnt take me long to get convinced and join this community. Thank you so much to all moderators for conceiving and creating GMAT Club forum. I am sure it must have helped countless candidates. (I am in queue for now).
I am based in Tokyo, Japan from past 6 years. I was wondering if part-time programs in US provide direct admissions to international candidates. I mean, isn:t it true that all part-time programs require confirmation from their employers that they have some kind of local employment. Are overseas candidates eligible to apply for part time programs?

I applied to three top MBA programs - Stern, Kellogg and Chicago and can speak to these.
To apply to Kellogg's part time program(which is only weekday evening, no weekend) you will need to be working in the Chicago area or show proof that your employer will transfer you to Chicago area, if admitted.
Stern and Chicago have both weekday and weekend programs. In fact for Chicago, 70% of the students in the weekend program are outside of the Chicago area. So is Stern. So for both these, you need not be based out of the Chicago or NYC area.

From your reply, I get an impression that it is possible to apply for weekend/weekday programs at Chicago & Stern without any condition of local employment. Is that correct?
