Hello Guys. I am a NJ resident looking to pursue a part time MBA program, either NYU or Rutgers. I am getting tuition reimbursement of up to 12,000 a year from my work.
The Pros of Rutgers:
I live in New Brunswick and work at Newark. I would be able to easily take classes at either campus which is literally minutes away.
More affordable
Pros of NYU:
Bigger name
Con:
Less convenient more out of the way.
My question is, for a part time program, would me going to Rutgers over NYU or vice versa, would it matter if I chose one program over the other? Right now I am leaning towards Rutgers due to the convenience factor but I don't want to handicap myself.

I lean towards NYU but I've heard that they keep PT'ers away from the FT program students and your resumes don't get in the drops, so if you go to NYU, you basically have convinced the adcom that you are convinced that your current industry and career is right for you.

This is a bit silly in my mind. NYU is a better pick of course. Sure you wont be able to do resume drops (however, with tuition reimbursement I would assume your company will require you to stay on board for at least one year).
Now, based on your statement I can figure out where you work. Question being... is this where you see yourself in the long haul. If the answer is no then definitely NYU. The career services and alumni network there is far greater and more influential than the one at Rutgers. Additionally, NYU on your resume will look way better.
