Hi everyone. Just decided to go back to school and came across this headache of mine. Partly due to me not having to deal with loans before as my undergraduate degree was fully paid for and some family financial shift. Anyway, my questions might be a bit weird and probably not of the norm since I can't find any info on it on the internet or this forum(from my basic skimming of it).

Here's my questions:

How would having a mortgage under my name affect my ability to secure a student loan, especially a government funded one, and the amount I can get?

How does having $20k in my saving account and/or a six figure digit amount in a joint account affect securing a student loan and the amount I can get?
