This is my first post. Although I have found this forum very helpful, it is also a bit intimidating. This is probably due to the fact that most of the people that post here regularly do so because they have pretty impressive profiles (and rightfully so, as they probably have the most to offer from an informational perspective).
Anyways:
1) Basic demographic info: 26, Male, Caucasian
2) Educational Background: Undergrad tri major in Finance, Econ, Int'l Bus., GPA 3.8, GMAT of 720, no grad work
3) Work experience: 4 years, commercial finance industry, pretty decent experience underwriting loans and in corporate finance/development
4) Extracurriculars: pretty limited outside of college, have completed the CFA program
5) Short/Long term goals: get into a top 10 school (obvs)/CFO of a business (not commercial finance)
6) Schools: Based in Chicago, so I would like to go to Booth (#1), Kellog, Wharton
Realize I need to work on my reason for getting an MBA. I am guessing that needing a change of industry is not at the top of the list of criteria for accepting potential MBA candidates. Honestly, I am concerned with my work experience and my GMAT score (given the schools I am targeting). Any advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Matt
