Hi,
Im a 25 yr old Indian male in an IT MNC. wishing to apply for the fall 2012 courses.

GMAT score :750

Here is my Professional profile-
4 yrs of work exp (will be arnd 5 yrs by fall 2012). For last 1 yr, working as a Lead Engineer and leading a team of 4 people (2 freshers and 2 with exp more than me) for Quality Engineering activities.
Consistently achieved highest ratings in appraisals and a number of recognition and awards for the same.

High point of the professional achievement is the team's successful completion of testing automation for one client, which will save them a lot of effort and time in future.

Within the organization ,have been associated with various councils setup for employee engagement activities, Leading a team of 6 people for one such council and an active member of community service council, which involves volunteering for providing education for underprivileged children.

Academics not so impressive. Managed a 70% in graduation (Bachelor of Engg), no idea how much is that in GPA.
Although during college I had been involved in organizing TechFestivals and together with few mates laid foundation for a Personality Development forum which organized debates and extempore.
I also have a basic knowledge of Spanish as foreign language.

I'm looking to apply for colleges in top 20 but such as Duke,Darden, McCombs Texas and Cornell but I also need a good scholarship. something which covers 60-70% of the total cost for the program. Is it possible in top 20ish univs?

With the "Indian IT male" tag and academics being a rather weak point , what other universities can I consider while applying?

As an international applicant, a lot of scrutiny will be on the GMAT, which you have absolutely a rock solid score on. I think your shot at a top 20 is certainly there. Schools such as H/S/W are, no matter what, going to be long shots only because of the number of applicants and the blue-chip resumes they get. The fact that you work for a MNC is a good thing as it's easier to benchmark you. Overall, I think you have a pretty good shot at getting in. Scholarship-wise, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If I were you, just apply and hope for the best. It's hard enough as it is to gain admission, let alone worry about scholarship. No one's going to be able to say that by applying to the top 20-30 rankings, you'd get 60% of scholarship (this, in itself, would be insane to claim). Just apply to the schools that you're interested in attending and let the chips fall in place by themselves. [if you're really looking for scholarship, spread your chips around a bit and also apply to schools in the top 20-35 range]

Thanks a lot bakfed for the review :)
I am looking for the scholarships as i dont want to be burdened with excess loans to pay off the fees.
I'm have also added Arizona state univ and Georgetown to the list for the same reason .I'd really appreciate any suggestions for other colleges in top 25-30 which have a good scholarship program for international students.

I'm not that familiar with the schools in that range, let alone their scholarship info. But I'm guessing that you could probably find some information directly on their websites or simply call their admissions office.
