60% of the San Diego Zoo visitors are single and all of the San Diego Zoo family visitors have children. If 25% of families visiting the San Diego Zoo have multiple children, what percentage of the San Diego Zoo visitors have only one child?

75

My take is 75%, but answer is 30%? Can anyone explain?

The catch here is 25% of families ...

Therefore we know that there are 100-60 = 40% family with atleast 1 children.

Given 25% 0f 40% have more than 1 children
So % of family having only one child = (100-25)*40 = 30%

30% is right.

60% are single = 40% are families.

75% of families is .75(40%) = 30%
