Hi can anybody help me how to convert percentage to percentile conversions.
This might help me say when I am practicing paper based problem sets.
Scenario: I am practicing a quant + verbal problem sets of 37+ 41 questions and if I end up getting x number of questions right and 78-x wrong, then how to correlate percentage of score to percentile. ( I have seen a excel file on gmatclub which converts Qxx & Vxx scores,, as shown on gmat score card to percentiles, but i don't think this is applicable to the scenario.
Is there any thumb rule or tool for this?

Just to make sure I understand the question properly:
You're asking how to convert, say, 25/37 (meaning you answered 12 questions incorrect) into your percentile rank?
It doesn't really work that way, since it's a CAT test, you might have scored 25/37 on 800 level questions, or 25/37 on 200 level questions.

Sorry, it does not really correlate this way - you also need to introduce difficulty in the mix. The OG Diag test attempts to do that (by assuming that you will most likely make mistakes on the harder questions rather than easier)....
The only way to do this would be to make a few thousand of your friends take the same test you are taking and see how you perform compared to them
